eXp Realty said it opened eXp Spain and planned to expand into Germany, Panama, and Japan in the third quarter of 2021. After earlier 2021 launches in Puerto Rico, Brazil, Italy, Hong Kong, and Colombia, the company said it would be in 19 countries by the end of the third quarter. The platform then had more than 54,000 agents.
Michael Valdes, president of eXp Global, said Spain joins the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, and Italy in Europe and that Germany, Panama, and Japan would deepen regional footholds. Renata Sujto was named to lead eXp Spain.
Sujto said Spanish agents showed strong interest after the pandemic. The company said it would hire local leaders in each new market to run agent operations and services.
