Monat Global UK Ltd said it planned to launch in Spain in June 2021, extending European expansion after the United Kingdom in 2018 and Ireland and Poland in 2019. Ros Simmons, senior vice president and managing director for Monat Europe, said social selling demand and partner success in existing markets supported the move.
The launch was set to begin with virtual events and regional roadshows to recruit founding market partners, with an e-commerce launch planned for September 2021. President Stuart MacMillan said Spain research showed strong potential for the business model and product line.
MacMillan tied the expansion to continued growth in the United States since 2014 and to a broader plan to bring Monat products and opportunity to more European audiences.
