MONAT Gratitude, Inc., the philanthropic arm of MONAT Global Corp, raised 700,000 dollars during MONATions Impact Week 2020, a virtual event held September 9 through 13.

Limited-edition product sales, gratitude shirt sales, and distributor donations totaled 350,000 dollars, and MONAT matched the rest. Nearly 50,000 people attended, and the company called it the most successful event so far. President Stuart MacMillan said moving online reached a larger audience than expected and produced the highest dollar total to date.

MONAT also announced a partnership with Give Back Box so customers can fill empty MONAT-branded boxes with gently used clothing, jewelry, or household items and ship them with a prepaid label to nonprofit partners.

Impact Week funds were designated for the Broward Partnership for the Homeless, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, and The Salvation Army in the United States; Big Brothers Big Sisters in Canada; The Toy Project in the United Kingdom; and SOS Childrens Villages in Poland.

Chief culture officer Lu Urdaneta said the goal this year was 250,000 dollars, more than triple the prior year goal of 80,000 dollars, and that the total beat that mark. Separately, 10 directors who attended MONAT Elite 2020 in early October raised nearly 20,000 dollars for educational resources at a local school in Bora Bora.

The company said Gratitude has been part of its culture since 2014 and that giving is focused on families, children, and education.
