Natura &Co Holding said it completed the sale of Aesop to L'Oréal for a final enterprise value of 2.58 billion dollars after obtaining all customary regulatory approvals. The transaction was initially announced April 3, 2023.
Group chief executive Fabio Barbosa said Aesop expanded globally under Natura &Co stewardship and that the proceeds would strengthen the balance sheet and support strategic priorities, including accelerating Natura and Avon brand integration in Latin America, further optimizing Avon International's footprint, and continuing to strengthen The Body Shop. L'Oréal chief executive Nicolas Hieronimus said Aesop would join L'Oréal Luxe.
Natura &Co is a Brazil-based multi-brand cosmetics group that includes Avon, Natura and The Body Shop; the Npros directory lists the group as Natura.
