Natura &Co said it would reorganize into a simpler holding-company structure giving more accountability to its Natura, Avon, The Body Shop, and Aesop business units. Group chief executive and executive chairman Roberto Marques is stepping down from those roles, remaining on the board during the transition and planning to retire by year-end.
Non-executive director Fabio Barbosa, chairman of the People Committee, will lead the group and a workstream to define the new corporate structure. Roles such as sustainable growth officer and chief transformation officer will no longer exist or will be revisited. Founder Guilherme Leal said the board supports more autonomy for each business after a period of transformative acquisitions and integration.
