Natura &Co said first-quarter 2022 consolidated net revenue was 8.3 billion reais, down 12.7 percent in reais and 4.6 percent at constant currency. Adjusted EBITDA margin was 7.2 percent, and net income was a loss of 643.1 million reais. The group ended the quarter with net cash of 4.5 billion reais.
Executive chairman and group chief executive Roberto Marques said inflation, supply-chain costs, currency moves, the war in Ukraine, and Avon transformation steps weighed on results, while Natura resumed growth in Brazil and Aesop revenue rose 21.3 percent at constant currency. The company reaffirmed a 2024 EBITDA margin target of 14 to 16 percent but pushed its revenue and leverage targets to 2024 from 2023.
