PM International founder and chief executive Rolf Sorg said annual sales rose more than 50 percent in 2020, to 1.72 billion dollars. He announced the figure at Kick-Off Americas Online 2021, a virtual event carried on the company channel PM TV.
Sorg told team partners the company had adapted and is positioned for the future. He said hybrid events, held on site and streamed online and on PM TV, will stay a regular format. He also outlined more expansion in Central and South America and market openings in Great Britain, Hungary, Portugal, Vietnam, and China.
The Americas headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, is set to grow in support of that plan, with a 7,000-square-foot warehouse expansion, a second administration building of 3,500 square feet, and new space for the Pittsburgh offices. Chief sales officer for the Americas Sammy El Ghoul said the company is adding manufacturing equipment and facilities because it is running out of space.
The event also introduced a new website design and a goal to develop and launch fully recyclable packaging for all company products by the end of 2021.
