Shaklee said a subsidiary has acquired substantially all of the business of Modere, the direct seller of collagen and wellness products, including its trademarks, patents and formulas, its North American manufacturing and testing equipment and its inventory.
The deal includes an exclusive license to sell Liquid BioCell Collagen. Shaklee said Modere's Trim, Burn, Sculpt and Curb products will go on sale on May 28 through Shaklee ambassadors and on Shaklee.com.
Chairman and Chief Executive Roger Barnett said Shaklee would provide a home for former Modere Social Marketers, who were left without a company after Modere abruptly closed its business.
