About Scentsy

Scentsy is a fragrance and home-products direct-selling company based in Meridian, Idaho. The company was founded around the concept of the Scentsy Wickless Candle, a home-fragrance product designed to melt scented wax bars without the use of an open flame. The original concept was developed by Colette Gunnell and Kara Egan, who introduced the product in 2004 at a home show in Salt Lake City, Utah. Orville Thompson saw the product at the show, later purchased the company with his wife Heidi, and built Scentsy into a party-plan direct-selling business.
