Isagenix International has promoted Sharron Walsh to chief executive officer. The Gilbert, Arizona company said she will run business operations and carry out three parts of a brand effort it calls Isagenix 2.0: product innovation and upgrades to core products, stronger marketing and branding, and a better user experience through technology.

Walsh has more than 20 years in direct selling. She joined Isagenix in 2009 and has held several senior jobs, including general manager of Australia and New Zealand, a region the company said became one of its strongest markets under her leadership. Her most recent role was president of global sales and marketing. Before Isagenix, she and her husband, Dave, built a team of independent distributors at another direct selling company, and she held general manager posts in the industry for more than a decade.

She succeeds Travis Ogden, who had been with Isagenix since 2016. Co-founder and chairman Jim Coover called Ogden a class act and a professional and said the company appreciates his contributions. Coover said Walsh is the right person to lead the new initiatives, widen the global footprint, and help more people improve their quality of life.

Walsh said she is honored to serve and that she believes in the vision of co-founders Jim and Kathy Coover. She said employees, independent distributors, and the executive team put the company in a strong position to help people feel, look, move, and eat better.

Isagenix said it was established in 2002, makes more than 175 products, and has more than 550,000 customers. Products are sold through independent distributors in 26 markets. The company described itself as private and family-owned, with world headquarters in Gilbert.
