Nu Skin Enterprises
November 10, 2021
Nu Skin Enterprises acquired Mavely, a social commerce platform meant to make it easier for people to find, share, and buy products. The company said Mavely technology would give brand affiliates new ways to sell and would support a push into social commerce. It did not disclose the purchase price.
Over the coming year Nu Skin plans digital tools that let affiliates share products through a personal storefront. President and chief executive Ryan Napierski said the platform should simplify social selling for the affiliate force. Mavely chief executive and co-founder Evan Wray said the combination joined the platform with Nu Skins products and global community.
The deal follows the November 3 earnings report, in which management said growth would depend more on affiliate-powered social commerce and digital tools.
