Youngevity International, Inc. appointed MaloneBailey, LLP as its independent registered public accounting firm to audit its financial statements. It also named William G. Thompson chief financial officer. Thompson resigned from the board and as a member and chairman of the audit committee to take the job.

David S. Briskie, who had been chief financial officer, was appointed chief investment officer and resigned the finance post so Thompson can serve full time. Briskie remains president. In the investment role he will keep relationships with the current shareholder base and try to expand it. The company uses the ticker YGYI.

Chief executive Steve Wallach thanked Briskie for serving as both president and chief financial officer for many years and said he expects an impact as Briskie focuses on the presidency and the new investment role. Briskie said Thompson had been a key director as audit committee chairman and is the right full-time finance chief.

Thompson, 59, had been a director since June 10, 2013. From March 2013 to September 2019 he was chief financial officer of Broadcast Company of the Americas, a San Diego radio operator. He was corporate controller at Youngevity from 2011 to March 2013 and at Breach Security, a web application firewall developer, from 2007 to 2010. Before 2007 he was divisional controller at Mediaspan Group and chief financial officer of Triathlon Broadcasting Company.

Daniel Dorsey was appointed to the board to fill the open seat, effective immediately, so the board stays at five members. Dorsey will serve on the audit committee until a successor is elected or he resigns or is removed. He is a licensed CPA with more than 20 years in finance, strategic planning, and operations.
