Earth Tribe Aromatics was a Santa Monica, California-based aromatherapy and personal-care company founded in 1994 by Mary Lee Banks, who was later identified in trademark correspondence as Mary Lee Patton. The company began using the Earth Tribe Aromatics name in commerce on June 2, 1994, and obtained federal trademark registration on October 3, 1995. Its known business address was 3303 Pico Boulevard, Suite C, in Santa Monica.

The company marketed essential oils, bath and body products, massage preparations and fragrances. Its federally registered product description covered non-medicated essential oils, bath oils, bath gels, body oils, massage oils, foam-bath preparations, beauty and bath soaps, moisturizing products and perfumes. Earth Tribe sold through independent distributors, who promoted the oils, provided samples and accepted mail orders.
