Harvest America Overview

Address 80 Golden Boulevard
Walden NY 12586

Harvest America no longer appears to be active as a direct sales company.

Harvesting America was a Scottsdale, Arizona-based online grocery and home-business opportunity built around internet grocery ordering and direct-to-consumer delivery. The company was associated with Frederick J. Weih, who was listed as President and CEO and had prior experience with Celestial Harvest, Harvest America, and Tapcity.com. G. Thomas Rochford Jr. was listed as CFO, and Richard M. Wisely was listed as Chairman of the Board.

The company’s product offering was a grocery service rather than a conventional nutritional, cosmetic, or household-products line. Harvesting America promoted online ordering of nonperishable groceries, with orders picked, packed, billed, and shipped to customers. Trade coverage from the period described the company as using UPS delivery to reach every ZIP code in the continental United States, with customers paying a $14.95 monthly subscription fee rather than a separate delivery charge.

Harvesting America used a home-business and network-marketing-style promotion method built around members sharing the grocery-shopping service with other consumers. Its referral program was promoted as “Shoppers Telling Shoppers,” giving financial incentives to customers or members who brought in additional subscribers.
