Heritage Makers no longer appears to be active as a direct sales company.
Original Npros business profile for Heritage Makers, preserved below for archival purposes:
Heritage Makers was founded in Utah in 2004 after Sharon Gibb Murdoch and Candace May's My Family Tales business was combined with Heritage Home Studios, a digital photo and video company associated with Doug Cloward. The company helped customers preserve family histories by combining photographs and written stories in professionally printed books, an approach it promoted as "storybooking." MyFamily.com, the parent company of Ancestry.com, acquired substantially all of Heritage Makers' assets in September 2005; financial terms were not disclosed. Youngevity International later acquired Heritage Makers' assets and certain liabilities on August 14, 2013.
Heritage Makers offered personalized hardcover storybooks, digital scrapbooks, greeting cards, calendars, canvases, photo gifts and other custom-printed products. Customers used its online Studio software to upload photographs, add written narratives and design projects with templates and digital artwork. The company originally sold through independent Heritage Consultants who conducted home workshops and earned commissions and bonuses. After the Youngevity acquisition, Heritage Makers became part of Youngevity's broader multilevel marketing program. Youngevity distributors sell products at retail, recruit additional distributors and qualify for commissions based partly on the point value of purchases generated by their downline organizations.
Heritage Makers is no longer an independent direct-selling company but remains active as a Youngevity-owned photo-publishing brand and customer platform.
ncluded in the price of the Business and Demo Kits are the annual fees for the Heritage Publisher Account, website, and virtual office online business management center.
