Ted is the Co-Founder and President of Global Verge – a convenient excuse for why his bio is longer than everyone else’s on this page. Ted hails from the foothills of the Cascade Mountains of Washington State and is a self-described "tech junky." Ted is a faith-based family man with common sense and loves the challenge of new ideas, new technologies, and meeting people from all walks of life. He loves his coffee extra strong, the snorting laugh of his wife, Sarah, and the word “Dad” coming from either one of his two boys.
Prior to Global Verge, Ted spent over 20 years in business wishing many times that he looked older because at every major board meeting he attended, people would ask him how old he was since he looked young enough to still be in school. Now in his 40's, with many years of riding the roller coaster of life and with the challenges of owning and managing several businesses under his belt, these experiences will serve him well as a great leader for Global Verge.
When the concept of Global Verge was born, it was one of those out-of-the-box business model ideas that he and his partner, Mark Petschel, asked themselves why no one had ever created something like this before. This dynamic business model is what drove Ted and Mark to go for it in 2008. Think about it, a company that has great products at competitive prices which breeds savings, passion, and the means for people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps earning a potential income that will sustain them and their families for a long time...a no brainer!
