Eugene has lived in Japan for the past 25 years. His original training and early career was in science and technology prior to becoming a successful entrepreneur and businessman. In addition to his involvement in various ventures, his experience includes a diplomatic Foreign-Service assignment in the U.S. Embassy in Japan, as well as systems engineering and international marketing for NEC in Japan for hundreds of millions of dollars of automated fingerprint identification systems to governments and law enforcement agencies throughout the world. He co-founded and managed what became the largest system planner company and fourth largest corporate training company in Japan. He also set up a publishing business that has been called the most successful launch of a new publishing company in Japanese history, with the first book released becoming a million seller and half of the books published in the first year reaching best-seller status. He took over the helm of a struggling individual training company and stabilized the operations to the point that the company is now the largest such company in Japan. Eugene was also involved in the start-up and provided the initial seed capital for a financial services company that has grown into a worldwide group of companies having $2 billion in assets under management.
