Troy A. Helming

Mr. Helming has been a keynote speaker since 2001, addressing energy executives & the public as a wind expert in NY, FL, MI, TX, KS, MO, CO, & Hawaii. He’s been featured on the Discovery Channel, PBS, Pat Summerall’s Champions of Industry, Fox News, Sky Radio (in-flight radio for American, United, Northwest, Delta), NPR & many radio stations. His articles have been published in Bank News Magazine, KC Small Business Monthly, The Sustainable Investor, SolarAccess.com, Forbes magazine (KC edition) & countless newspapers. Mr. Helming is currently writing a book (release date 4Q ‘04) describing the economic benefits of converting the U.S. to 100% clean, renewable, American-made power – totally eliminating dependence on foreign & fossil fuels. Prior to Krystal Energy, Mr. Helming was CEO of Kansas Wind Power, LLC (1999-2003), where he led efforts to acquire contracts for 300 MW of wind projects, raised millions in capital, then sold KWP (Jan ’04) to Trade Wind Energy to focus 100% of his efforts on Krystal Energy. Mr. Helming’s 1st two companies in the 1990s, TeleTeam Consulting Inc. (one of the largest dealers of Nextel Wireless & Lucent Technologies equipment in KC, a multi-million dollar company with 35 employees) and Team Reach Inc (built a worldwide sales team of 16,000 in 2 years), were both quite successful and established Mr. Helming as a proven entrepreneurial leader. He holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. Mr. Helming is a former gymnast, is training to be a pilot and aspires to climb the ‘Seven Summits’ - the world’s tallest mountains per continent – during his lifetime.
