Avon
October 8, 2025
The Chapter 11 plan of liquidation for the former Avon Products Inc. and its debtor affiliates, which proceed in bankruptcy court as AIO US Inc., became effective on October 7, 2025, according to a notice filed October 8 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The notice said all conditions to consummation of the Fourth Amended Joint Chapter 11 Plan of Liquidation were satisfied or waived and that no stay of the September 24 confirmation order was in effect. As of the effective date, all releases, exculpations, waivers and injunctions in the plan took effect, including an insurance entity injunction intended to protect the trust's insurance rights.
The newly formed Avon Liquidation Trust now has sole responsibility for administering, resolving and paying claims against the debtors, and talc personal injury claims will be handled under the plan and its trust distribution procedures. Executory contracts not previously assumed were deemed rejected, and the deadline to file most administrative expense claims was set for December 8, 2025. The debtors filed for bankruptcy in August 2024 to address talc litigation and sold their non-U.S. operations to Brazilian parent Natura during the case.
