Natura &Co, owner of Avon, confirmed in a material fact that it is in exclusive negotiations with investment firm IG4 over a potential sale of Avon's operations outside Latin America. The statement responded to a February 19 media report about an investor interested in Avon International.
Natura said it resumed studies of strategic alternatives for Avon outside Latin America in December 2024, options that could include a sale, partnerships or a spinoff. It said the talks with IG4 were still at an early stage and that it continues to evaluate other alternatives.
The disclosure came after Natura reacquired Avon International entities outside the United States through a 125 million dollar credit bid in the Chapter 11 case of Avon Products Inc., which was approved by the bankruptcy court in December 2024.
