Natural Health Trends Corp. said the Securities and Exchange Commission has finished a non-public investigation that the company had already described in its filings. On September 30, 2021, the agency told the company the inquiry was over and that it did not plan to recommend an enforcement action.
President Chris Sharng said the company cooperated for the full length of the review, which began in August 2016, and that management was glad to put the matter behind it. The company sells personal care and wellness products under the NHT Global name through direct selling and e-commerce in Asia, the Americas, and Europe.
The October 1 announcement does not describe any fine, restatement, or change in operations. It closes a disclosure the company had carried in its commission filings for several years.
