SILVER SPRING, Md. - United Therapeutics Corp., a biotechnology company, said Monday its subsidiary Unither Pharma Inc. settled a three-year-old patent dispute with nutritional supplements maker Herbalife Ltd.

Financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

United Therapeutics said under the terms of the settlement, all pending lawsuits will be dismissed, and that Herbalife entered into a royalty-bearing, non-exclusive license for United Therapeutics' patents.
