The executive vice president of operations for nutritional and skin care products company USANA Health Sciences Inc. sold 40,000 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Wednesday.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC, Fred W. Cooper reported selling the shares on Monday for $32.10 to $32.73 apiece. Cooper also reported gifting 5,000 shares on Feb. 4.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.
