Vemma Presented with Five Stevie Awards
More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Vemma Founder and CEO, BK Boreyko was presented with a Silver Stevie Award for Executive of the Year -- Health Products & Services, while the Verve Bold product launch, Vemma Revolution Convention, Vemma Achieve film series and This is Vemma! Welcome to the Revolution video all garnered Bronze Stevie Awards in categories ranging from events and marketing campaigns to video production.
The American Business Awards is the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations -- public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. This year's competition recognized several leading companies including American Express OPEN, Procter & Gamble, the NFL, Dominos Pizza, Sony, Samsung, Heineken, NASCAR and others. Executive of the Year is recognized across several industries. Previous Executive of the Year winners include the late Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, Inc. (2010); Alan Mulally, President and CEO of Ford Motor Company (2011); and Kent Muhtar, CEO of Coca-Cola (2012).
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the trophies were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on Monday, June 17 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. More than 500 nominees and their guests attended. The presentations will be broadcast by the Business TalkRadio Network on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
The 2013 American Business Awards will be presented at two awards events: Monday's banquet in Chicago, and at the new products & tech awards event on Monday, September 16 in San Francisco. Vemma is a Finalist in two awards categories for the September awards -- Verve Bold for best new product and the Vemma Revolution Convention App for event-related mobile apps.
Vemma EVP of Marketing and Brand Development, Mark Patterson attended the awards gala in Chicago and commented, "It is a huge honor to receive five awards in this prestigious competition and to have been honored alongside major U.S. brands. I congratulate BK on his win in the Executive of the Year category and am very proud of the entire Vemma Branding and Events teams for their outstanding efforts on these winning projects."
Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 320 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year. "This year's American Business Awards was outsized in every way," said Michael Gallagher, Stevie Awards founder and president. "More entries and more judges than ever before, and I'd have to say the most impressive collection of nominations we've ever received. We congratulate all of this year's Stevie winners for their outstanding work."
