Original Npros business profile for Vemma, preserved below for archival purposes:

Vemma Nutrition Company was an Arizona-based health and wellness direct-selling company founded in 2004 by BK Boreyko and family members. The company sold liquid nutrition, energy, and weight-management products, including the Vemma formula, Verve energy drinks, and BodÄ"-branded products. Vemma built a large international presence before the FTC case, with the company taking in more than $200 million annually in 2013 and 2014 and operating in the United States and more than 50 other countries.

Vemma operated through a multilevel sales model using independent distributors known as affiliates. Affiliates promoted Vemma products, enrolled customers and other affiliates, and qualified for compensation through the company's sales and recruiting structure. The business became especially known for its youth-oriented recruiting campaigns, including the "Young People Revolution," which promoted Vemma as an alternative to traditional employment and appealed heavily to college students and young adults.

Vemma is no longer active as a standalone MLM/direct-selling company under the Vemma name. The Vemma.com domain now points to BodÄ" Pro's transition into Zinzino, directing customers to shop BodÄ" Pro products through Zinzino and directing partners to the Zinzino opportunity. Zinzino acquired BodÄ" Pro's distributor database, customer register, inventory, and intellectual-property rights on September 12, 2025, in an asset acquisition with a $2 million fixed purchase price, a $0.4 million deferred purchase price, and possible earnout payments of up to $3.6 million. Vemma's remaining product legacy therefore continues through BodÄ" Pro/Zinzino rather than through a separate Vemma distributor opportunity.

Vemma's regulatory history includes one of the FTC's most significant MLM enforcement actions. In August 2015, the FTC filed a federal court action alleging that Vemma operated an illegal pyramid scheme, made deceptive income claims, and failed to disclose that most participants would not earn substantial income. The FTC alleged that Vemma encouraged participants to buy $500 to $600 Affiliate Packs, purchase about $150 per month in products to remain bonus-qualified, and recruit others to do the same. In December 2016, Vemma, Vemma International Holdings, and BK Boreyko agreed to a permanent injunction banning pyramid-scheme practices, deceptive income claims, and unsubstantiated health claims. The order imposed a $238 million judgment, partially suspended after payment of $470,136 and surrender of certain assets, and required independent compliance reporting for 20 years. The FTC later distributed more than $2.2 million in refunds to 28,224 people who lost money.

Vemma has a 30 day, empty bottle money back guarantee. Vemma drinks include essential vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants. One of its key ingredients is mangosteen, known for its high level of antioxidants. The company claims that its product greatly improves the human immune system in addition to providing a boost in overall health through its vitamin-enriched base. Vemma offers a straightforward product and the opportunity of being a "brand partner", or business entrepreneur interested in marketing Vemma products. The Vemma compensation plan starts with a 30-day money back guarantee, and trial-in-home evaluation of the Vemma nutritional program and business. The company highlights 9 key areas that categorize the ideal business. The key areas are global opportunity, no employees, inelastic demand, low overhead, continuing need, low investment, unique product, portable, and fascinating.
