Herbalife announced an alliance making it the Official Nutrition Advisor to Pumas Club Universidad Nacional, A.C.

The objective of bringing together these two leading organizations in Mexico is to promote a healthy, active life through good nutrition and daily physical activities.

Victor M. Mahbub M., president of the board of trustees and the board of directors of the club, commented that "the alliance of Pumas with Herbalife contributes to the institution's mission of promoting and being the showcase of Mexican sports both at a national and an international level, adding the fundamental aspect of promoting a good nutrition for Mexicans."

Herbalife, alongside Club Universidad Nacional, will promote physical activity and good nutrition among its Independent Distributors throughout the Mexico, who in turn, will reach a large number of Mexican consumers that use Herbalife products. Similarly, this alliance will have a strong impact among the Latin independent distributors that do business in the U.S.

Additionally, Herbalife will use its nutrition expertise both at a national and an international level to contribute to the education of the general public through panels and seminars that promote the benefits of leading a healthy, active life along with an adequate nutrition and regular physical activity.

Another commitment that resulted from this alliance is the club's involvement with the Herbalife Family Foundation's Casa Herbalife program, which helps provide good nutrition to disadvantaged children and now, through this alliance will also start promoting the habit of regular physical activity in cooperation with charity organizations that work with low-income children and their families.
