Herbalife Nutrition to Participate in Upcoming Scientific Conferences

LOS ANGELES--Herbalife, a global nutrition company, will be participating in five upcoming scientific conferences to present nutritionists and other food experts with the Company's industry-leading expertise.

Herbalife Nutrition employs 300 scientists, including 36 Ph.Ds., to guide the vigorous scientific development of our products and make them the healthiest products on the market.

'We are incredibly proud of our leading scientific talent and are pleased to showcase their expertise and use it to help inform other industry experts,' said Dr. John Agwunobi, chief health and nutrition officer, Herbalife.

For the first time in its history, Herbalife Nutrition will be hosting a booth at the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo, the world's largest annual meeting of food and nutrition professionals, from Oct. 15-18 in Boston. Susan Bowerman, director of Nutrition Training, Herbalife, will be providing information at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics-sponsored event, which will have an estimated 10,000 credentialed practitioners in attendance.

Herbalife Nutrition will also be participating in the following events:

The American Herbal Products Association's 2016 Botanical Congress is scheduled for Oct. 8 in Las Vegas. Dr. Andrew Shao, vice president, global nutrition policy, Global Government Affairs, Herbalife will be presenting a paper, 'Regulatory Climate for Aloe Vera - Where are the Hot Spots?' Gary Swanson, senior vice president, Quality Assurance & Control, Herbalife, will also be participating on a panel about supply chain management.

The Council for Responsible Nutrition's International symposium on Optimal Nutrition and the Ever-Changing Landscape is scheduled for Dec. 2 in Hamburg, Germany. Dr. Shao will be giving a keynote address on 'Reductionism to Holism: Evolution of Nutrition Science.'

The 2016 Advances and Controversies in Clinical Nutrition is scheduled from Dec. 6-10 in Orlando. Herbalife Nutrition will be hosting a poster session at the conference, which is sponsored by the American Society for Nutrition.

The International Society of Nutraceuticals & Functional Foods' Annual Conference is scheduled from Oct. 9-12 in Orlando. Dr. Shao will present a paper entitled, 'Sarcopenic obesity, visceral fat and 'Thin Outside - Fat Inside': Global Implications.'
