Private Quarters closed in May of 2012.Private Quarters is a direct selling company based out of California that manufactures comfort based products such as bed linens, bath and spa products, textiles, and bath robes of "fine luxury hotel-quality". The company was founded in 2004 by entrepreneurs Wayne Selness and Jeff Stroud when they began researching the direct selling industry as a new way to continue his father's tradition of selling quality home textiles after his family business. All 50 of the Stroud’s family owned home fashion stores were sold and eventually closed after filing for Chapter 11 protection.
The new linen company, Private Quarters, offers consumers the opportunity to own quality linens, or become a professional consultant selling the linens through direct sales and in-home parties. The company states that ethical obligation is oen of its core beliefs, and is a member of the Direct Selling Association and practices their Code of Ethics.
