MOR Vacations Review and Profile

MOR Vacations was a Wisconsin-based travel membership and network marketing company launched in 2008 under the leadership of Jon King. The company operated from Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and marketed discounted vacation club memberships that provided access to resort stays, hotels, cruises, airfare, and vacation packages. MOR stood for "Members Only Resorts," and the company promoted access to thousands of resort properties worldwide, including short-notice condominium vacation weeks advertised for as little as $149. MOR Vacations began accepting affiliate applications and payments on August 18, 2008, and made its first affiliate commission payments on September 2, while still in pre-launch.

The company sold lifetime travel memberships at several price points, including an Emerald-level membership introduced during its 2008 launch period. MOR Vacations stated that the underlying vacation membership program had previously been sold through seminars for substantially higher prices before the company introduced network marketing as a lower-cost distribution channel. Members used an online booking platform to access discounted resorts and other travel services.

MOR Vacations recruited independent affiliates to sell its travel memberships and participate in what company promotions called a "perpetual leverage" compensation plan. Affiliates earned commissions from membership sales, with promotional materials stating that as much as 75% of certain revenue collected by MOR Vacations could be paid through the compensation structure. The company also used an electronic payment system through International Global Xchange to distribute commissions to affiliates in multiple countries. Johnny Bolton, previously associated with Global Resorts Network, was a prominent early distributor and was described in 2008 promotional material as MOR Vacations' master distributor and later as a co-founder.

The MOR Vacations opportunity was relatively short-lived. Bolton left the company by January 2010, and the business subsequently disappeared from the network marketing travel industry. The original MORVacations.com website no longer operates as a travel membership or affiliate site and currently redirects to a domain marketplace where the domain is offered for sale.
