Quixtar and Amway are both owned by Alticor Inc.; with Quixtar being a susidiary of Amway North American, and Amway Global a subsidiary of Quixtar. Many of the inefficient and time consuming distribution and payment methods from Amway have been eliminated with Quixtar. Most Quixtar distributors purchase their own products and have few customers.
