Original Npros business profile for GT Trends, preserved below for archival purposes:
GT Trends, formally known as Global Travel Trends, was an online travel and network-marketing company led by founder and CEO Ron Armstrong. The business evolved from PRT Travel and operated from locations in Chico, California, Carson City, Nevada, and later Cheyenne, Wyoming. BBB records identify PRT Travel and Global Travel Trends as alternate names and show that the Nevada company began operations and incorporated in 2005, although company promotional materials traced the underlying travel business to 2001.
The company provided online booking access for airline tickets, hotels, cruises, rental cars, vacation packages, activities, and other travel services. Participants enrolled as Associate Travel Agents and received personalized travel-store websites connected to outside travel-booking systems. GT Trends promoted both commissions on customer travel purchases and personal travel discounts, including reduced hotel, cruise, and rental-car pricing. The company claimed that its representatives could arrange departures from more than 150 countries and that it maintained associates or members in more than 60 countries.
GT Trends used a network-marketing-style compensation structure rather than operating solely as a conventional host travel agency. Later opportunity materials described a $299 Complete Business Builder package, a $49 business setup fee, and a $19.95 monthly maintenance charge. Associates could earn as much as 50% of the travel commissions generated through their booking websites, a $100 sales bonus when a personally referred participant purchased the $299 package, and team bonuses tied to recruited members paying monthly fees. Earlier company promotions described as many as eight income methods, including travel commissions, direct-sales bonuses, team-building payments, and leadership-related compensation.
The GT Trends name was eventually replaced in company materials by G2 Go Travel. The G2 Go Travel profile continued to describe Ron Armstrong as founder and promoted wholesale travel access, personalized online travel businesses, savings of 30% to 70%, and the combination of Internet travel sales with network marketing.
Enrollment Fee starts at $120.00 plus monthly $19.95 business maintenance fee.
