REAL Brokerage
November 6, 2025
The Real Brokerage Inc. has reached a settlement in principle in the pregnancy and gender discrimination lawsuit filed by its former chief financial officer, Michelle Ressler, according to a letter filed with the court by her attorney.
Judge Analisa Torres of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed the case in a November 6, 2025 order, leaving the parties the right to reopen it within 30 days if the settlement is not completed.
Under the settlement, which must still be finalized, Real said it will make no payment to Ressler, and Ressler will reimburse the company for what it says were personal charges made on its corporate credit card. Real had said an internal audit found eight personal expenses totaling 17,440 dollars; Ressler's suit said 15,946 dollars in airfare charges were an oversight she offered to repay and that 1,493 dollars in entertainment expenses were business related.
Ressler filed the suit in June 2025, alleging she was fired about three months after returning from maternity leave so that a male successor could take her role. Ravi Jani replaced her as CFO in April 2025.
