Mannatech said first-quarter 2022 net sales were 32.4 million dollars, down 15.5 percent from 38.3 million dollars a year earlier, or 11.5 percent in constant dollars. Operating income was less than 0.1 million dollars, versus 2.8 million dollars a year earlier. Net income was 0.1 million dollars, or 6 cents per diluted share, versus 2.2 million dollars and 1.04 dollars per share.
The company said supply-chain constraints forced postponement of planned promotions and deferred revenue on orders shipped but not yet received, including 0.9 million dollars of deferred revenue in Hong Kong. Independent associate and preferred customer positions associated with purchases fell to about 157,000 from about 187,000 a year earlier.
