Primerica appointed Robert H. Peterman Jr. executive vice president and chief operating officer, reporting to Chief Executive Glenn Williams, effective October 1, 2024. He succeeds Gregory C. Pitts, who plans to retire on or about April 1, 2025 after 40 years with the company and will give up the COO title on October 1.
Peterman has served as executive vice president and chief distribution officer since March 2023. He was previously chief marketing officer and president of Primerica Distribution, overseeing recruiting, licensing, field compensation and decision support. He joined the company in October 1984.
Williams said Primerica's deep bench of long-tenured leaders allows a seamless transition and called Peterman a strategic thought leader for the sales force and home office.
