Green Mountain Energy's president, Paul Thomas, plans to step down in June. The company has chosen Jim Steffes as his replacement.

The company did not disclose the reason for the personnel changes.

Steffes will start his new position in July. He is currently the general manager of Direct Energy LP and was previously employed by UBS Energy and Enron Corp.
