In 2009, the SEC charged Nature's Sunshine Products, its then-CEO Douglas Faggioli, and its former CFO Craig Huff in connection with alleged illegal payments made by the company's Brazilian subsidiary in 2000 and 2001 to import unregistered products into Brazil and conceal the payments in company records. Without admitting or denying the allegations, Nature's Sunshine consented to a final judgment requiring a $600,000 civil penalty, while Faggioli and Huff each agreed to pay a $25,000 civil penalty.
