SALT LAKE CITY, October 22, 2024 --

USANA Health Sciences reported third-quarter 2024 net sales of 200 million dollars, down 6 percent from 213 million dollars a year earlier, with no meaningful foreign-exchange impact. Diluted earnings per share fell 5 percent to 0.56 dollars from 0.59 dollars, and active customers declined 3 percent to 452,000.

President and Chief Executive Jim Brown said results reflected continued top-line pressure across many key markets, including mainland China, as the sales force struggled to attract new customers amid cautious consumer sentiment. Asia Pacific accounted for 80 percent of sales at 160 million dollars, down 6 percent.

The company updated its fiscal 2024 outlook to approximately 850 million dollars in net sales and 2.45 dollars in diluted EPS, narrowing prior ranges of 850 million to 880 million dollars and 2.40 to 2.55 dollars. It ended the quarter with 365 million dollars in cash and no debt.
