Avon named Karen McElhatton chief technology officer. The company said she brings nearly two decades of international technology experience.
McElhatton said she is joining at a pivotal moment, with a strategy to speed a digital shift for representatives, consumers, and employees. Her job includes the digital work already underway at Avon and technology for parent Natura &Co.
Chief executive Angela Cretu said digital change is central to the Open Up & Grow strategy and that McElhatton will set a technology roadmap so the company can move faster in a digitized market. Cretu said digitizing representatives and building an omnichannel shopping setup is meant to reach more consumers with a more personal experience.
