New Avon Company said it has changed its corporate name to The Avon Company, effective immediately. The company described itself as a 135-year-old beauty business.
Chief executive Paul Yi said the new name is meant to match the company's vision and to present a more independent face as it grows. He said it also fits a wider set of brands and products, including belif, Mission Luxereve, CHI, Physiogel, and Daily Essentials home products.
The company said the former name was left over from an earlier restructuring and will be retired. It said new brands and cross-brand partnerships made the old name a poorer fit for its history.
