Oriflame said second-quarter 2025 euro sales fell 10 percent to 132.9 million euros from 148.2 million euros a year earlier, or 7 percent in local currencies. Adjusted EBITDA dropped to 1.9 million euros from 6.0 million euros, for a margin of 1.5 percent, and the adjusted operating result swung to a loss of 2.9 million euros. For the first half, sales fell 9 percent to 278.5 million euros and adjusted EBITDA was a loss of 0.1 million euros.
All regions declined except Turkiye and Africa, where local currency sales rose 12 percent on strength in Nigeria. Oriflame officially launched in South Africa on May 2, and its Beauty Community Model is now in nearly 50 markets representing more than 80 percent of sales. The shift of European production from its factory in Poland to outside manufacturers is proceeding as planned.
Cash fell to 49.9 million euros from 56.2 million euros at the start of the quarter, and the company drew another 20 million euros on its revolving credit facility, bringing borrowings under it to 85 million euros. Oriflame said the recapitalization announced in March, initially expected to close in the second quarter, is now expected to be finalized in the third quarter, and it again flagged uncertainty about its ability to continue as a going concern.
