Avon

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware entered an order on September 24, 2025, confirming the Fourth Amended Joint Chapter 11 Plan of Liquidation of AIO US, Inc., formerly Avon Products Inc., and its debtor affiliates. The confirmation follows a ruling in August in which Judge Craig T. Goldblatt said the plan could be confirmed once certain provisions were revised.
The plan establishes the Avon Liquidation Trust, with retired bankruptcy judge Melanie L. Cyganowski serving as liquidating trustee. The trust will receive the remaining assets and liabilities of Avon Products and its affiliated liquidating debtors, pursue the value of certain insurance rights and make distributions to holders of talc personal injury claims and general unsecured claims.
Avon Products filed for Chapter 11 protection in August 2024 in the face of personal injury lawsuits from plaintiffs alleging that exposure to its talc-containing cosmetics caused their diseases. During the case, the debtors sold their foreign operations to their parent, Natura, and settled estate claims against Natura. Avon Products had spun off its U.S. business in 2016.
