HE(L)O Overview
HE(L)O no longer appears to be active as a direct sales company.
HE(L)O refers to HELO, short for Health and Lifestyle Oracle; the wearable-health product originally distributed through World Global Network. The original HELO/WGN multilevel-marketing program is no longer operating in its former form. Helo Corp remains active as a wellness-technology company, but it began discontinuing its network-marketing distribution channel in late 2022 and shifted to e-commerce and third-party affiliate sales.
Original Npros business profile for HE(L)O, preserved below for archival purposes:
HELO, sometimes stylized as HE(L)O and promoted as the "Health and Lifestyle Oracle," originated as a wearable wellness-device brand distributed by World Global Network, or WGN. WGN was founded in 2010 and initially marketed telecommunications and mobile-technology products before shifting its focus to wearable wellness technology in 2016. Helo Corp's public filings describe WGN as a direct-to-consumer, person-to-person multilevel-marketing company and identify Fabio Galdi and his brother Gabriele Galdi as WGN's owners.
The original HELO products included the HELO Classic and HELO LX wristbands, which collected wellness information through embedded sensors and connected mobile applications. The devices were promoted for monitoring measurements such as physical activity, heart rate, sleep, blood pressure, breathing rate, body temperature, blood-oxygen saturation, and other wellness indicators. Helo Corp reported that more than 620,000 HELO devices had been shipped and paid for by early 2019, with users in North America, Europe, and Asia.
World Global Network marketed HELO through a network of business builders and an MLM compensation structure. A 2019 Helo Corp SEC filing stated that WGN had more than 10,000 customers classified as business builders in June 2017 and approximately 17,000 customers in the United States and Canada. Helo Corp relied on WGN as its exclusive direct-selling distributor and described the personal nature of the wearable's health information as particularly suited to person-to-person promotion.
The business underwent several changes after the original HELO launch. World Global Network introduced the Vyvo name in 2019, and Helo-related companies later directly operated a multilevel-marketing business selling smartwatches, smart scales, NutraPak supplements, and subscription services. Helo Corp reported revenue of $64.7 million in 2021, followed by a decline to $31.2 million in 2022. Beginning in the fourth quarter of 2022, the company started discontinuing its network-marketing distribution channel, reduced its international workforce and office presence, and moved sales to a global e-commerce platform operated through Helo Health Ltd.
Helo remains active as a wellness-technology and e-commerce business rather than as the original standalone MLM opportunity. Current products and projects include BioSense and LifeWatch wearable devices, Leggera smart scales, BioStrip home wellness tests, the NutraLife AI application, and the NutraMatic personalized-nutrition system. The company pays third-party affiliates for sales generated through its website, including affiliates that promote products through social selling and residual-reward programs, but Helo's public filings state directly that it discontinued its own network-marketing distribution channel.
The company remains financially strained. Helo Corp's financial statements reported operating losses, including discontinued operations, of approximately $1.9 million for 2024, compared with nearly $8 million in 2023. Cash and cash equivalents fell from approximately $8.8 million at the end of 2022 to $47,343 at the end of 2024, leading management to report substantial doubt about the company's ability to continue as a going concern without additional debt or equity financing. Helo also furloughed all remaining employees in May 2024 and restricted payments to some vendors and contractors pending improved cash flow or new financing.
In July 2020, former WGN sales leaders filed a Utah lawsuit against World Global Network, Helo, and several executives seeking more than $28 million in compensatory and punitive damages. The claims involved alleged unpaid cash and stock compensation, breach of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, and securities fraud. The case was dismissed with prejudice in March 2024.
