Original Npros business profile for Kyani, preserved below for archival purposes:
Kyäni was an Idaho Falls, Idaho-based health and wellness direct-selling company built around antioxidant nutrition, nitric-oxide support, and a "more health, more wealth, more life" opportunity message. The company was founded in the mid-2000s by the Hansen and Taylor families, with Carl Taylor, Kirk Hansen, and Jim Hansen publicly identified as co-founders. Kyäni's story centered on natural ingredients associated with the Wild Alaskan Blueberry, Wild Alaskan Salmon, Noni, and other botanicals, along with the founders' Idaho business background in agriculture, petroleum distribution, and other family businesses.
Kyäni's product line focused on nutritional supplements and skin care. Its flagship system was the Triangle of Health, made up of Kyäni Sunrise, Kyäni Sunset, and Kyäni Nitro. Sunrise was positioned around Wild Alaskan Blueberry and other superfoods; Sunset around omega-3 fatty acids from wild-caught fish; and Nitro around nitric-oxide support and nutrient delivery. The company also marketed Kyäni Fleuresse skin-care products and promoted Potato Pak through its Caring Hands humanitarian program.
Kyäni operated as a multilevel direct-selling company through Independent Business Partners. Its opportunity materials promoted product sales, customer referrals, sponsored Business Partners, online business tools, a personalized website, incentive trips, car-program incentives, and rank-based commissions. Kyäni's 2021 global income disclosure stated that the U.S. Business License cost $89 where permitted by law, that Business Partners did not need to buy inventory, and that commissions were based on customer purchases and sales volume from sponsored Business Partners. The same disclosure stated that, globally in 2020, Kyäni had more than 100,000 current Independent Business Partners in 54 countries, about half of whom were active and qualified for commissions or bonuses.
Kyäni went through a major transition after the deaths of co-founders Kirk Hansen and Jim Hansen in a 2019 plane crash. On September 20, 2022, Amare Global announced that it had acquired Kyäni, Inc., describing Kyäni as a health and wellness company with operations in more than 50 countries. The transaction brought Kyäni's founders and family shareholders into Amare as shareholders, with Carl Taylor joining Amare's board. Kyäni is no longer active as a standalone MLM company, but Kyäni-branded products and Business Partner activity continued under Amare's broader direct-selling platform.
